International Baccalaureate Diploma Program features three unique components:
|
|
- Theory of Knowledge (TOK) is a required interdisciplinary course intended to stimulate critical reflection
upon the knowledge and experience gained inside and outside the classroom. TOK seeks to develop a coherent
approach to learning, which transcends and unifies the academic subjects and encourages appreciation of other
cultural perspectives.
- Creativity, Action, and Service (CAS) is a fundamental part of the diploma curriculum. CAS requires
that students move beyond the classroom to develop and share their talents in the arts, sports and community service.
Participation in CAS fosters awareness of, concern for, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.
Educating the whole person is a primary objective of CAS.
- The Extended Essay allows students to pursue an area of special interest by utilizing research and writing
skills in independent study, skills expected at the university level.
