The staff at Western Branch Intermediate School strives to foster a love of learning in our students.  Our dedicated, creative professionals demonstrate teaching practices that foster a love of learning while meeting each student's unique talents.  Our goal is for each child to achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally while growing into productive middle school students.

Instructional programs are designed to maximize success for every child by providing a variety of learning experiences to meet individual needs and learning styles.  As educational professionals the welfare of our students is at the forefront and their well-being guides school policies and programs.

Western Branch Intermediate is unique in the extra-curricular and enrichment opportunities available to students.  Our humanities, physical education, media and music departments provide enrichment activities both during and after the school day.  Our PTA supports in the after school enrichment programs.

Western Branch Intermediate is fully accredited by the Virginia Department of Education based on state SOL assessments.  We are also in our fourth year of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

As Principal I am fortunate to work with a dedicated staff and community that are active participants in our children's education.  Please feel free to visit our school, have lunch with your child, or volunteer in your child's class or media center.  Together, we will "stand and achieve" success for every child.
