The Art Department at Oscar Smith Middle School creates an environment in which students can learn about various famous artists and art movements. Students are involved in two-dimensional and three-dimensional art, which includes sculpture, ceramics, drawings, and paintings.  In the spring, during Youth Art Month, the Art Department and the OSMS Art Club have an annual art show in which students display their art work.  Parents and community leaders are invited to view the student art during the show.
