The Guidance Department is comprised of three counselors: Mrs. Rafal who works with grade eight students and is the guidance director,  Mrs. Edmonds who works with grade seven students, and  Mrs. Hodges who works with grade six students.

The counselors are available to assist students in decision-making, conflict resolution, and academic planning.  They also provide a friendly ear and give support to students in a variety of situations.  Counselors are happy to meet with parents and will provide referrals for community resources to assist students and their families.

The Guidance Department provides the following services:  orientation for new students, individual and group counseling, registration and scheduling of classes, and coordination of the standardized testing program.

Students are encouraged to make appointments to see their counselors by using the appointment request forms located in all of their classrooms.  Parents may contact counselors by calling 494-7590.

Counselors truly are the "heart" of the school!
