Computer Resources

Technology is a valuable educational resource at our school.  There is currently one  computer lab, multiple laptop carts and a distance learning lab.  Laptop carts make it easy for teachers to use computers in their classrooms when it is inconvenient to go to the computer lab.

Computers are not the only option available to our students in regards to technology.  The school also has SmartBoards in every classroom.  SmartBoards provide ample opportunity for teachers to create interactive lessons to teach OSM students.    

The Personal Response System (PRS) is a wonderful resource that provides teachers with immediate feedback as to what students know about the subject being taught.  The PRS consists of thirty-two remote control devices that students can use to select their responses while viewing multiple choice questions that are projected on a screen.  This is another interactive tool that gets all students involved in learning.

OSM is very fortunate to have Mrs. Harris and Mr. Smith to assist with students' and teachers' needs.  Mrs. Harris is the school's Technology Integration Specialist and is a valuable resource to teachers when it comes to including technology in their lessons.  Mr. Smith is the school's Support Specialist and he is a much utilized asset to our building.  He has the enormous responsibility of installing, maintaining, and repairing computers and related equipment.
