Listening Skills
Our Wildcat friend wants us to remember that...
"We were given two ears, but only one mouth..."
listening is twice as important as talking.
Here some helpful tips to follow when you are in school, at home, or at play:
Look at the person talking
Make face and eye contact
Listen with your eyes as well as your ears
Be interested and attentive
Do not talk while the teacher or another student or person is talking
Concentrate on what the speaker is saying
Sit up - good posture helps you pay attention
If you find yourself daydreaming - change your body position and concentrate on being a good listener, it takes work!
